Character Creation & Images

I. Be sure to read through the rules thoroughly before creating a character.
II. Please follow the provided character creation form. You may tweak it so long as all of the pertinent information is still there.
III. Your character must be approved before you roleplay with it.
IV. You may not create a pregnant mare, but you may create a mare and foal pair. You must also write a bio for the foal.
V. Follow breed standards when creating a character. Research your breed. Make sure the color and height match the breed standards.
VI. One account per person. You may have as many characters as you want on your account, but please try to keep them all active.
VII. You may create a mortal, immortal, or God. Mortals are just regular equines. Immortals are equines such as Pegas, Unicorn, Hippocampi, etc but not necessarily a God. A God is immortal as well, but they also have other special abilities. Depending on the type of God, they can control different elements.
VIII. Each character may start out with one starter ability and/or special feature if it is an Immortal (horns, wings, etc). The rest have to be purchased from the store with UC (Utopian Coins).
X. You may create one Immortal or God, the rest must be purchased from the store or earned through quests.
XI. If you include an image of your character in your character bio, it must be stock or have a CC license.
XII. All images must link back to the original so that a staff member can check to see if it is stock or has a CC license.

In Character

I. Utopia welcomes all levels of roleplayers, but we do have a 200 word count rule per in character post.
II. Keep all posts PG-13.
III. No powerplaying, god-modeling, etc.
IV. We do allow liquid time. This means that your character(s) may be in more than one thread at once.
V. You are allowed to use curse words. Do not abuse this.
VI. A character under the age of four is still considered a foal, either a colt or a filly depending on the sex of the character. Foals may not fight or breed.

Stealing

I. Stealing is when a character from one herd posts riddle in the Stealing board to try to steal another equine from their current herd or mate.
II. Any equine may be stolen unless you have purchased immunity from the store.
III. Once a character has been successfully stolen, they must remain with their captor for a minimum of two weeks. After the two weeks has passed, the character may return home if they wish and is immune from being stolen again for four weeks.
IV. If a nursing foal is stolen, the mother must go with the foal unless it is worked out with the roleplayers and there is a wet nurse that will be able to nurse the foal in the stealers herd.
V. Once a riddle is posted, the leads of the herd or mate of the equine that is being stolen has three days to successfully guess and block the steal.
VI. Once a character has been successfully blocked from being stolen, that character is immune to anymore attempted steals for two weeks.
VII. A steal must be a riddle (does not have to rhyme) that contains at least three hints to the equine that is being stolen.

Challenging

I. Challenges are in character posts where an equine over the age of four years may challenge another equine for land, rank, a successful steal, etc. A challenge may be posted for pretty much any reason.
II. A challenge must meet the 200+ word count for in character posts.
III. If an equine is challenged, the roleplayer has one week to respond or the challenger wins by default.

Fighting

I. Only characters that are four years or older may fight.
II. A fight must contain at least two blocks and four attacks.
III. A staff member will judge a fight once it is complete.
VI. The challenger posts first. Each roleplayer then has one week to respond to each post until the thread is concluded. If either roleplayer fails to do so, the person to last post wins by default.

Breeding & Birthing

I. Absolutely no graphic breeding or birthing. Keep all posts involving this topic PG-13.
II. If you choose to roleplay the breeding, make sure to keep it tame. It would probably be best to just sort of black out over the actual breeding and then resume the thread like normal once that has finished.
III. Your characters do not need to have met in order to breed, so long as there is a mutual agreement among the roleplayers.
IV. When you are ready to have the foal, post the parents stats in the New Life board. Be sure to follow the provided form. Do not roleplay the foal until a staff member has posted the foals stats.
V. You may have your foal immediately after breeding or you may wait awhile and roleplay out the pregnancy.
VI. Mortals may breed with Immortals or Gods, but there is no guarantee that any special features or abilities that the Immortal or Godly parent had will be passed on to the foal.
VII. Multiples must be purchased from the store.
VIII. If you breed donkey's, zebra's , etc then there is the chance that the foal will be infertile. If this is the case, you may purchase fertility from the store so that your foal may breed in the future.
IX. If you have already purchased something from the store that you would like to apply to this foal, make sure to include a link to the purchased product.
X. Both roleplayers must post the parent stats individually.
XI. If you are having multiples, the foals may have different fathers but this item must be purchased from the store.
XII. Staff members may not create their own foal stats. If you are a staff member and need foal stats to be posted, ask another staff member to do so for you.
XIV. When a staff member does the foal stats, they will use a random generator to make the foal so that it is fair.

Lands

I. There will only be five claimable herd lands. Once an equine has laid claim to a land, post the land name, description, and the name of the lead stallion and/or lead mare.
II. Any equine, whether it be stallion or mare, over the age of four years old may claim a land.
III. You may purchase herd immunity from the store. It will be active for one month, during which time your herd will be immune from challenges.
IV. You are only allowed one main land. You may, however, have sub herds within a main herd so long as it has been agreed upon by the land owner.
V. Each main land may have no more than three sub herds.
VI. When a sub herd is desired and it has been agreed upon, the lead of the sub herd may PM a staff member the name of the herd they are needing the sub herd to be created under, the name of the sub herd, the description of the sub herd (must at least somewhat match the overall description of the main land), and the lead stallion and/or mare.
VII. If a main land changes hands whether due to inactivity or a lost challenge, the new land owner may decide whether or not they wish to keep any sub herds within their new herd.

Questing

I. Characters may go on quests to rank up and earn Immortal or Godly status.
II. Deceased equines may go on quests in order to redeem their souls and move on to a better place.
III. There will be three tiers to a quest, and the quest must be roleplayed out. When you have completed your quest, go to the Forbidden Jungle to meet with the Fates so that you may receive your reward.
IV. When a deceased character goes on a quest, they may leave the Underworld for however long it takes them to complete their quest. Once complete, they must return to the Underworld to face their judgement.
V. Some quest items may be located in the Underworld, to retrieve these items the living must enter the Underworld, but they must finish qquickly or risk becoming trapped there.
